Every open tender on Kenya's national procurement portal, scored on five plain axes and ranked — so a small bidding team spends its hours on the opportunities it can actually win, with a first-draft response ready for the top picks.
The three highest-scoring tenders in this run. Each one comes with a first-draft bid response — open the sections to see the company profile, capability mapping, compliance checklist and pricing placeholder.

Ranked tenders
Every scored tender in this run, ordered by total score. Filter by sector and buyer level, or narrow to what's closing soon. The five dim columns are the individual axis scores (0–5 each); the deadline column colours the time left — red within 3 days, amber within 7, green beyond.

How the radar works
Four steps, run end to end every 3 hours. The scoring is a deterministic rubric — the same tender input always gets the same scores.
1
Fetch
Each run pulls the open tender listings from Kenya's national public procurement portal (tenders.go.ke), where procuring entities — TSC, county governments, parastatals — are required to publish. When a feed is blocked, stale or failing, the run records that instead of papering over it.
2
Score
Every fetched tender is scored 0–5 on five axes: capability fit, deadline feasibility, buyer credibility, value attractiveness and competition. Deterministic rubric, no model in the scoring path — same input, same scores.
3
Rank
The five scores add up to a total out of 25, and the report orders every scored tender by that total, deadline-aware. The top of the list is where a small bidding team should start reading.
4
Draft
For the top picks, the tool writes a first-draft bid response — company profile, capability mapping to the tender's requirements, compliance checklist and a pricing placeholder. A starting page, not a finished submission.
The scoring rubric
Five axes, each scored 0–5. The totals column in the table is the sum — 25 is the ceiling, and no axis is weighted more than another.
Axis
What it measures
A 0 means
A 5 means
Capability fit
How well the tender's requirements match what a bidder can plausibly deliver.
The work sits outside any reasonable capability.
The requirements sit squarely in the wheelhouse.
Deadline feasibility
Time between the run and the submission deadline.
The deadline has passed or is under 48 hours away.
Weeks of runway to prepare a proper response.
Buyer credibility
Whether the procuring entity is an established, verifiable buyer.
The buyer can't be verified from public records.
An established entity with a public procurement history.
Value attractiveness
The size of the contract against the effort of bidding and delivering.
Not worth the cost of preparing a bid.
Strong value for the effort involved.
Competition
How winnable the likely field looks, given the sector and lot size.
A stacked field where an ordinary bidder is noise.
A thin field or SME-friendly lots worth entering.
What each score column tells a bidder
Rank
Position by total score, deadline-aware. Read from the top — but let the deadline column veto: a perfect score is worthless after submissions close.
Cap / Dead / Buy / Value / Comp
The five axis scores, kept dim on purpose. Scan them before opening a tender: a high total built on five middling 4s reads very differently from one with a 5 where it matters to your business.
Total
The sum of the five axes, out of 25. It's the sort key and a comparison aid — not a promise. Two tenders with the same total can demand very different bids.
Deadline (days left)
The colour is the message: red within 3 days, amber within 7, green beyond. If the days-left figure is red and your compliance documents aren't ready, that tender is a next-run problem, not a today problem.
Source link
The original tender notice on the public portal, every time. The scores here are a triage layer; the notice is the authority. Always open it and read the actual requirements before spending a bid on it.
What the bid drafts give you
Each top pick ships with four draft blocks, written from the tender notice itself. They are a first page — everything in them must be checked against the real tender documents before it goes anywhere near a submission.
Company profile
A short, editable paragraph positioning a business for this specific tender — what to say about yourself when the form asks who you are.
Capability mapping
Requirement by requirement, what to point at in your own operation: which team, which partner, which past delivery answers each clause.
Compliance checklist
The documents and registrations the notice asks for — tax compliance, registrations, bid security, samples — listed so nothing is discovered the night before the deadline.
Pricing placeholder
Where the numbers go and how to structure the pricing schedule against the tender's bill of quantities. It is deliberately a placeholder — your costs and margins are yours to set.
Requirements for bidding
Kenyan public tenders ask for two layers of paperwork: a baseline that applies to almost every bid, and the specifics set by each tender's own documents. Sort the baseline out once and it stops being the reason a deadline gets missed.
The baseline — needed for almost every tender
A registered business entity (certificate of incorporation or registration, via the Business Registration Service)
KRA PIN certificate and a valid Tax Compliance Certificate
A valid single business permit from your county
Supplier registration or prequalification with the procuring entity — many run annual prequalification, and the documents download free on PPIP
For the 30% AGPO set-aside (youth, women and PWD-owned enterprises): an AGPO certificate
The specific — set by each tender
The tender document itself: Instructions to Tenderers, forms and evaluation criteria (downloadable from the notice — free or paid depending on the entity)
Tender security on higher-value tenders
Professional or technical registrations for consultancies
Past-performance references and similar contracts delivered
Read the tender's own Instructions to Tenderers first — it always wins over general advice. The official reading, straight from the regulator:
How is this different from tenders.go.ke and the government sites?+
tenders.go.ke (PPIP) is the official national portal — the legal source of truth where every public entity must publish opportunities, addenda and awards. It lists everything, and you scan and judge fit for yourself. The Kenya Gazette and county portals add legal notices and local listings, many stale or PDF-only. Tender Radar is a working layer on top of PPIP: every 3 hours it re-reads the active tenders, scores each one for fit across five axes, flags deadlines, ranks the top 50 and drafts first-cut bid responses for the top picks. PPIP is where you bid; Tender Radar is where you decide what to bid on. Every row links to the official notice, and all submissions happen through the official process.
How often is this refreshed?+
Every 3 hours. The 'Last refreshed' line at the top shows when the most recent run finished, and the days-left figures recalculate against the current time.
Where does the data come from?+
Kenya's national public procurement portal (the Public Procurement Information Portal at tenders.go.ke) — the official noticeboard where public procuring entities publish their tenders. The source link on every row goes back to the original notice.
Is it free?+
Yes. This dashboard is free to read, and the tender notices it links to are public documents.
How do I act on a tender?+
Open the source link, download the actual tender documents from the portal, prepare your response against what those documents ask for, and submit through the portal before the deadline — portal registration is required to submit, so sort that out before a deadline is near. The scores and drafts here are preparation; the portal is where the bid happens.
